The movie is set in post-communist Albania and follows Mira, a lonely mother, and her troubled teenage son, Toni. As civil unrest erupts across the country, they are forced to navigate fear, uncertainty, and the chaos that engulfs their community, confronting both personal struggles and the broader social upheaval that threatens to tear their nation apart.

Basierend auf Berichten ehemaliger politischer Gefangener untersucht der Film das enge Nebeneinander von menschlichen Träumen und Leiden und bewegt sich dabei auf einer feinen Grenze zwischen Realität und Sehnsucht.
